The history of Luang Phor Pern

Birth and Early Life:

Luang Por Pern was born with the given name Pern Phurahong on Sunday, August 12, 1923 (B.E. 2466), in the 9th month of the Year of the Pig, at house number 4, Moo 4, Bang Kaew Fa subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si district, Nakhon Pathom province. He was the son of Mr. Fak and Mrs. Yuang Phurahong, and the ninth child among ten siblings.

Interest in Occultism:
Since childhood, Luang Por Pern showed a keen interest in the mystical arts. His family lived near Wat Bang Phra, a temple known during that era for its monks who were highly skilled in occultism. Young Pern frequently visited Wat Bang Phra, driven by his curiosity and desire to learn about these mystical practices.

Mr. Pern studied under Luang Phor Daeng of Wat Thung Khok, where he learned about herbal medicine for treating diseases, various incantations, and especially the renowned practice of sak yant (sacred tattooing) from Luang Phor Him Inthachoto, the abbot of Wat Bang Phra. Luang Por Him

Biography of LP Pern:


LP Pern Tithakunoe was born in Nakhon Pathom province on the 12th of August 2466. He studied magic from LP Dang of Wat ToongKauk Suphan Buri province when he was a Layman. LP Dang has been a guru monk who has knowledge of Visha and meditation. LP Pern wanted to study magic charms for protecting himself from the dangerous elements of the region. He was a soldier at the age of 21-22. After finish, LP Pern commenced studies spiritual tattoos or Yant composition from LP Huem of Wat Bang Phra who was a teacher in Buddha Magic and Sorcery.
LP Pern was ordained at the age of 25 at Wat Bang Phra more than 4 year, until LP Huem passed away. He has been an expert of concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism way. After that, he went to LP OhPahSee temple for building up knowledge of Visha and Buddhism way, about 1 year.
In the year 1953, LP Pern went also called “Tudong” in the deep jungle alone to border of Thailand and Burma .Tudong is monk’s journey togain knowledge to build up good karma and to know the teaching of Buddha. In the year 2509,

*** Phra Somdej Toh Phramarangsi (1788-1872)

Somdej Toh was born on April 17, 1788 (BE 2331). One of the most famous Buddhist monks of the Rattanakosin period. He is believed to be the son of King Rama II. He was ordained a novice monk in 1800 (BE 2343) at the age of 12 and a monk in 1807 (BE2350) under the royal patronage of Wat Praseeratanasasadaram (Wat Phra kaeo) in Bangkok. He studied the Buddhist scriptures of the Pali canon with several Buddhist masters. The venerable monk was known to be a good speaker as well as an extremely intelligent and compassionate person.

His tenure in the monastery began during the reign of King Rama I until the reign of King Rama IV, a total of 65 years. He was known for his skill in preaching and used Thai poetry to reflect the beauty of Buddhism
