Philip Dunne
Philip Dunne was Minister of State at the Department of Health from 16 July 2016 to 9 January 2018. Philip was elected Conservative MP for Ludlow, Shropshire in 2005.
Education
He studied politics, philosophy and economics at Keble College, Oxford University.
Political career
Philip served as Assistant Government Whip from May 2010 until September 2012, a role he had carried out in Opposition. He was Minister of State for Defence Procurement at the Ministry of Defence from May 2015 until July 2016, having previously served as Minister for Defence, Equipment, Support and Technology, from September 2012 until May 2015.
He has been a member of the work and pensions select committee, the public accounts committee and the Treasury select committee. In September 2012 he was appointed a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State as Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, with responsibility for defence procurement and defence exports.

Philip is married with two daughters and two sons, each were at school in the Ludlow constituency, where he was a Governor for six years. He was brought up on the family farm near Ludlow, for which he has had responsibility since 1987. He lives near Ludlow, which he has regarded as his home town all his life.
He enjoys family life, living in the countryside and keeping busy.
Business Experience
Philip read Politics, Philosophy & Economics at Oxford University graduating in 1980. He spent eight years at the then leading British merchant bank S.G.Warburg, working in London and New York advising major British and foreign companies on their strategic development. He then worked for two years for James Gulliver Associates, before becoming a partner of Phoenix Securities, a leading adviser to the financial services sector, for whom he worked for 10 years in London and Hong Kong, during which time it was bought by Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, a US investment bank of which he became a Managing Director (one of many).

Derek Thomas MP, MP for St Ives and Chair of the APPG for Rural Services
Derek Thomas was first elected as the Member of Parliament for the constituency of West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (St Ives) in the 2015 General Election, becoming the first Conservative MP for the area since 1997. He was re-elected as MP in 2019 with an increased majority.
Derek sits on the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee having previously sat on the Environmental Audit Committee, the Work and Pensions Select Committee, the Health and Social Care and the Science and Technology Select Committees. Derek is an officer and member of numerous of APPGs which includes the Rural Services APPG for which he is the Chairman.
