OSERE MALEGBAGBE - ORISA BUNMI Orisabunmi, born on October 10, 1960, in Ilu Ola, Kwara State, received her early education at Ilu Ola Primary School and Secondary Commercial College. Despite not attending university, she carved a significant niche for herself in the Nigerian film industry. The turning point in her career came in the 1980s when her ex-husband, Aliu, discovered her talent while she was working as a teacher in Kwara State. Aliu first noticed Orisabunmi and expressed his interest in her acting potential. After visiting him on a movie set, she decided to try out a role in one of his productions. Aliu was impressed by her natural talent and gradually introduced her to the world of filmmaking. She subsequently appeared in movies produced by Aworo, gaining experience and recognition in the industry. Orisabunmi's breakthrough came with her performance in the stage play “Ori Ma Binu,” but it was her role as "Orisabunmi" in the 1980s television series "Arelu" that catapulted her to fame.
